About the Process

During this process, a roller which is covered with numerous tiny needles is used to help rejuvenate skin. These needles used at Ivory Taylor penetrate the upper layers of the skin, offering two major benefits. It effectively stimulates collagen formation at the same time as providing a clear channel for topical serums/active ingredients in your skincare to be absorbed more effectively through the top layer of your skin.

Dermal Rolling creates a very minor (almost microscopic) trauma which lasts for a short period of time. It is a form of collagen induction therapy intended to smooth wrinkles and improve depressed acne scarring

As your technician rolls the Dermal Roller across your skin, it makes pin point punctures into their dermis. Your body perceives this as damage, triggering the release of growth factors. In turn, these stimulate the production of elastin and collagen. The human body is designed to react to injury by initiating the healing process, but usually it will just mend as far as necessary to keep you in good health – which is very different to healing at a cosmetic level.
