Healthcare Commission

Any establishment offering Intense Pulsed Light and Laser treatments are required to apply for registration with the Healthcare Commission.  Establishments must have a registration certificate before they can provide the service, if however they offer treatments prior to being registered, they are operating illegally.  It is therefore essential that any patient considering Intense Pulsed Light or Laser treatment checks that the operator is registered, and hence they meet the minimum standards of practice including:

  1. Quality of treatment
  2. Checks of premises and equipment
  3. Qualifications and skills of staff
  4. Policies and procedures
  5. Training and professional development
  6. Complaints procedures

Organisations are continually checked to ensure that these standards are met.

The Healthcare Commission exists to promote improvement in the quality of public healthcare in England and Wales, and independent healthcare in England. By having registered with the Healthcare Commission, Ivory Taylor shows due diligence to the requirements of the Healthcare Commission, and hence demonstrates the up-most care for all clients.
